Book to Mani: The Selection

Hi!
This mani is - you guessed it - another book to mani nail art (There are many more to come!!). This time, they were inspired by The Selection, which is a trilogy written by Kiera Cass. I thought the tiara that is used on all  covers would make a super pretty nail design, so that is what I did!

To start off, I used a white base, and painted a very sheer, creamy, shimmery colour on top. Then I used another polish with tiny glitter and painted that over the sheer polish.

Then I stuck on loose white/silvery glitters using a clear polish, into some sort of glitter gradient. For the tiara, I first painted the shape on using gray acrylic paint. Then I traced the same shape using foil glue, and then placed on some silver foil.  Next time, I'll need to remind myself to use a bit less glue, as the glue flattened out when I pressed on the foil, causing the swirls to become thicker and less defined. However, I am very pleased with the result, as I had never done something like this before, and never seen someone else do it. (There probably is someone who did this before, but I never discovered). Lastly,I put on a top coat and I was good to go!

P.S: I bought myself a new camera! Still figuring out how to best take pictures with it, but they're much better already!
